One of our goals was to win more games in a season than any other VJM team before. We did it.
One of our goals was to score more goals in a season than any other VJM team before. We did it.
One of our goals was to make the district playoffs for the first time ever. ??????

For the first time in VJM history, we are ranked in the PIAA Class AA District 1 field hockey rankings. We are currently ranked 9th. The top 12 get into the post-season. Our playoff destiny is in our own hands. Wins against St. Basils and Lower Moreland should guarantee us a spot. We should win those games. We will win those games. We need to play our best in our remaining games vs. Merion, Mount, Villa Maria, and Gwynedd as well. Dig deep, bring everything you have, play with heart, play hard and you will accomplish our pre-season goals. Trust me, if you do this, it will stay with you for the rest of your lives. All the hard work, the dedication, the two-a-days, the sprints, the pain, it will all be worth it. Ask any former players from the past four years, Anna, Morgan, Carly, Hollie, Madison, Jess, Olivia, and Antonia, those players suffered through hard seasons in order to make this one so successful for you. They would do anything to be in this situation. The game vs. Merion is dedicated to Julie Nachtman. This season is dedicated to all those before you who helped build this program to what it is today and to the freshman who are the future of this team. You should be proud of what you have accomplished so far but you still have work to do and I know, without a doubt, that you are all capable of and deserving of this opportunity that lies ahead of you.
